unfortunate souls..

how unlucky can man be?..
how much misfortune can a family swallow?..

the spate of torrential downpour has been causin' a ruckus in the state..
it's nothin' short of terrorizin'..

okay maybe the unfortunate man who got killed (fri, 16 jul)..
when a crane crashed into the bus he was on..
was not caused entirely by the rain and gust of wind..
but i believed the road was wet and it was drizzlin' harmlessly..
correct me if i'm wrong..
but the guy's ultimately unfortunate..

did i mention he was on board a double decker service.. yes! an sbs super bus..
the crane crashed into the second deck where he was sittin'!..
i love super bus rides..
who would have thought one could get killed in it..
god is great..

my condolences to family of the 50+ yr old malay man..
who had untimely left his wife and 4 children..
such a tragedy.. a cleaner.. he was the sole breadwinner of the family..
his first son's in i.m.h.. two of his children have kidney failure..
and the other's in a special school.. pity the mum..

i hope those pampered and spoilt brats out there..
are made aware of this family's predicament..
"ooh.. i got no money to go clubbin'.."
"fuck.. i just lost my i-phone.."
"$2500 a month?.. sorry let me scout other job offers first.."
you shitheads.. read and weep..

now back to the downpour nightmare..
being at the wrong place and the wrong time..
heavy rains and winds at the speed of 65km/h..
uprooted a tree near thomson and it landed exactly on a moving car (tue, 20 jul)..
splittin' the car into two.. it instantly killed the 32 yr old male driver..
it was fortunate that his family was not with him at the time..
readin' that rescue workers pulled out baby accessories and toys from the wreckage..
just sent shivers down my spine..
but ultimately.. such a misfortune..
god is great..

remembered the late rohaizam..
a senior in my school j.i a decade ago..
he too was pinned by a tree in mount ophir 3 years back..
a trainee p.e teacher.. he was on a campin' trip with his fellow colleagues..
he and two others were sleepin' in the tent..
and heavy rains uprooted a tree and landed on their tent early mornin'..
to be exact.. landed on rohaizam.. while the other two were luckier..
they only had minor injuries while rohaizam suffered a fractured skull..
he was declared dead in a local hospital there..
his body only arrived singapore the next day early morning at about 3..
saw rohaizam for the last time..
god is great..

with the flood problem rampant too now in the state..
and all this mishaps.. we must have pissed Him off..

god is great..
so start appreciatin' life people..
be thankful of what and who you have now..
cos in a split second.. the great maker might just take it away from you..

ultimately nobody wants to be an unfortunate soul..
